Water use: water footprint

Because water is an essential input for the textile industry and our facilities are located in high-risk areas in terms of scarcity, we consider it necessary to take measures to better optimize and manage the use of this vital resource. We have set ourselves the following objectives:

• To be the most efficient in the use of water within the Peruvian textile sector.
• Recover 50% of the production water to give it a new use in our manufacturing process.
• Achieve the highest level of wastewater treatment throughout the sector.

Use of electricity

The Carbon Neutral mentality pushes us to progressively modify our facilities, looking for more efficient and beneficial ways to use energy. the following objective was established:

• Recover 30% of energy by 2025, optimizing its use in the production of the Vulcano plant.

Carbon footprint

We are committed to fighting the climate crisis and improving sustainability, we have set out to work on two very specific fronts. The first will be to start measuring our impact on climate change and continue with measures that allow us to carry out circular processes in energy consumption until reaching the goal of zero emissions. we have defined the following objective:

• Achieve a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions in our facilities, avoiding negative impacts at different stages of the product life cycle.

Being committed to sustainability involves a complete analysis of the environmental conditions and impacts of the organization. In order to obtain the environmental diagnosis of our facilities and to identify the opportunities for improvement, we make use of this tool that through a self-assessment determines the annual environmental performance.
